[Poem] Timo Schmitz: “Russian Girls” (2013)

This devushka so near, so hot the zhelanie,

So many people around, in my head my zadanie,

But when I see you I forget my mind,

And when I hear you talk, it sounds so kind.

And in my dreams, there is only you – ya mechtayu,

And being with you is really what – ya zhelayu,

But when I wake up, I wonder what does it mean – lyubov,

I know there’s a time when I will see you off.

Shall I hold the time, don’t let it go,

Shall I throw the time – who can know,

When in the morning I meet you again,

In July’s vecher, when time will end.
