In Part 12 of my series “Individualism between Moral and Virtues, Government and Religion”, I want to introduce the key concepts and the historical background of Juche Idea, the state doctrine of the DPRK. The article became that long that I decided to make two parts on it. While this part introduces the philosophy and its history, in the next part I want to do criticism and comparision on the basis of the terms of my philosophy.

This is a timeline of the events described in the last eight parts of “An Overview of Tibetan History”, including a summary of the Tibetan cultural regions and self-designation of different Tibetan groups.

Part 8 reflects the history mainly on a perspective of religious matters. Who stood in competition with whom? Which dynasty supported which religion? The article starts with the introduction of Buddhism in Tibet in the 640s, describes the relation between Buddhism and Bön at that time, continues with describing the founding of the new transmission schools and the resulting problems throughout the history until the 1940s.
